When Dana's daughter went away to college, it was an exciting and emotional time. Three weeks into the first semester, Danielle was about to celebrate her first birthday away from home - no family, no presents and no birthday cake from Mom. Then Dana discovered Cakes Across America, and a new family tradition. She sent Danielle a cake with the message: "I baked this for you myself - in my heart - Love, Mom." The baker who hand delivered Danielle's cake even sang Happy Birthday as the other girls in her dorm began to gather around - drawn by the smell of the buttercream icing. Danielle told her mom that she had given her the greatest birthday party even from miles away.
Michael wanted a fun and unique way to pop the question to Kim. With a little planning, Cakes Across America was able to help him pull it off. Our baker delivered a cake with the message, "Will You Share a Wedding Cake With Me?", with the engagement ring tied to the top of the cake. Who could refuse such a sweet proposal? Not Kim, who immediately accepted!

After living alone in a huge house for a couple of years, Jane's mom decided to sell her home and move into a condo about an hour away from all her friends. Jane was concerned about her mother, but was unable to fly over until the next month. She wanted to do something special for her mom right away to let her know she was thinking of her. Jane called Cakes Across America to have a cake delivered congratulating her mom on her new home. A funny thing happened. Since a cake is a gift to be shared, Jane's mom felt compelled to introduce herself to a few of her new neighbors and invite them to join her for cake. By the time Jane came to visit, her mom had made lots of new friends and was settling in happily in her new residence. Jane told us, "It was all in the cake!"
Sometimes Grandmas can teach good lessons even from miles away. Even though she was hundreds of miles away in Florida, Marie wanted to do something fun for her granddaughter, Samantha's eighth birthday in Connecticut. The perfect time to call Cakes Across America. Marie had three dozen cup cakes with the number 8 on them delivered to her granddaughter's classroom. Samantha got to share cupcakes with all her classmates, and be hero for the day. She was elated when she called her grandmother to thank her for the special gift. "I never knew how much fun it could be to share my birthday presents. Thanks, Grandma!"
John was a creative guy going for a creative job in a creative industry. He knew he had to find a way to stand out from the competition. After his interview, he sent a cake to his prospective employer's office. The message: "Have Your Cake And Eat It Too... Hire Me!" They did.

NorthPoint Communications send cakes to its affiliates across the nation to introduce new services.
In one instance, NorthPoint ordered 41 "Silver Bullet" cakes serving 1,131 people along with accessories and balloons for delivery to 33 locations on the same day. This is what they had to say:

When Technology Review wanted an innovative way to get their customer's attention, they called Cakes Across America. Cakes Across America arranged for the delivery not only of a beautiful cake with FrostingArt of their magazine, but also individual boxed lunches serving 55 and fortune cookies with custom messages.

Home Box Office often uses Cakes Across America to promote their various channels and their HBO Original Series in FrostingArt. From an "SOS" campaign in Freehand Graphics to Season Premieres and Cable Contact Center promotions, HBO logo cakes have regularly starred at parties across America.

GMAC has Cakes Across America deliver cakes to owners of their dealerships throughout the U.S. on a monthly basis. The Cakes Across America staff manages the entire year of events from a single spreadsheet of names and addresses received from GMAC at the beginning of each year.
The beautiful Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center in Florida thanks travel agents across the nation for referrals with an "It's the Experience" cake. Each cake is delivered with a personal message written in calligraphy on Gaylord cards. The resort has booked conventions for the next 13 years.
When Sprint wanted an innovative way to celebrate their new relationship with Metro 1, they chose Cakes Across America to get the message out and sweeten the relationship.
