In the early 1990s, Fran Greene, founder of Cakes Across America, recognized the need for a celebratory, personal gift that would be well received by everyone for every special occasion. What better way to honor someone than by presenting them with a cake? When she discovered that no service existed to arrange cake deliveries, Fran recognized this unique entrepreneurial opportunity and started Cakes Across America.

Cakes Across America delivered its first cake in January, 1992 – to Fran's seven-year-old nephew. Since then, Cakes Across America has developed the finest network of bakers in the United States, the best cake delivery service, along with a host of customer and corporate incentive programs to meet the needs of thoughtful people throughout the world.
